Orion Evening by George Arnold

Orion Evening

The spring night sky is cool,
Dark arms thrown wide in embrace
Soft jazz its apparel
An upright bass the muted pulse
The night air caresses you,
Soft and cool against the skin
The saxophone breeze,
Slightly smoky,
Wafts across xylophone stars
The percussion of distant motion
Cuddles gently against the cheek
Cool comfort reverie
As you surrender your vigilance,
To black satin fantasy
